Networking In Business

Hi.  My name’s Steve Bimpson and it’s my pleasure to welcome you to Networking-In-Business.com, a free online resource that has one purpose; To help you significantly improve the results you get from your networking efforts.

I don’t know about you, but when I first started networking I found that the return I got from my efforts was pretty poor.  I found that I tended to dip in and out of it.  I dipped in because I felt that I should be networking and that I was missing out on a lot of business by not doing it.  I dipped out because the results I achieved from the networking I was doing proved to be pretty poor.  Certainly, it was nothing like the levels that I thought I should be getting.

My poor results led to my inconsistent networking efforts, which simply served to compound my poor results.  Results which were, at best, a little haphazard and rather uninspiring.  That was until I met Gavin Bain back in 2000.  Gavin is an Executive Director for an organisation called Business Network International, better known as BNI.

BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in the world and it was through my association with them that I started the educational process that really helped me to understand exactly what networking is all about.

Being passionate about personal development, I used my BNI experiences as a springboard to develop the skills I needed to make my business networking as effective as possible.

One of the things that I learned about networking is that it’s all about helping other people.  If I help enough other people to get what they want, then what I want will take care of itself!  That’s what Networking-In-Business.com is all about.  It’s a free resource, from me to you, that is designed with the sole purpose of helping you dramatically improve the results that you get from your networking efforts.

“Oh No!”  I hear you say.  “I don’t have to work at this networking thing, do I?”

Well, yes you do!  It does take a little work to develop your networking skills and, more importantly, you do have to work at the actual networking bit, as well.  After all, it is called ‘networking’ and not ‘net bugger about’!
